What you'll be doing:

Optimized Code

Optimize expensive renders, improve the efficiency of data streams, and reduce the load and build times

Innovative Tech

Research and develop bleeding edge technologies that resolve unique challenges in the video streaming space. Solve customer problems by processing video with Kubernetes, Golang, & React 

Interactive Graphs

Work with product designers to make interactive D3/React graphs and charts that show real-time output from IoT devices

Structured Data

Love structured data? Collaborate with AI/ML enginners to build video overlays to display data in realtime generated from our inference models

Sr Software Engineer (Frontend) - Remote

$130000 - $150000 / year

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, troubleshoot and maintain software technologies using microservices design principles, serverless design patterns in an  event-driven systems
  • Act as a team lead on specific projects, motivate and inspire a team of 3-5 software engineers
  • Create web applications using modern cloud technology stack including React, Node.JS and Golang
  • Provide technical expertise to the customer experience team as needed
  • Collaborate with other software engineers to deliver on product goals
  • Work with other Canon companies to integrate products

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with Javascript, HTTP protocol, REST, and other web technologies.
  • 4+ years of software development experience with a distinguished track record delivering technically complex enterprise services (or equivalent experience)..
  • 3+ years experience with programming in Javascript, React, NodeJS, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience reviewing code and pull requests to ensure product and design specifications are met
  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Skills/Training Desired

  • B.S. in Computer Engineering or Science 
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Enzyme or Jest
  • Knowledge of interactive and visual design principles for a positive and cohesive user experience
